Rejoice ALWAYS??

The last few days I have been meditating on a couple of verses, one of them being how we need to be happy in ALL things. Yesterday my 1 year old, thinking he was a big boy, kept taking his diaper off, telling me he was going to use the potty. I kept putting it back on him, thinking he just wasn't really ready to use the potty. So I put a newly washed tablecloth on the table to get the house nice and clean before hubby got home. While I was straightening it out, ds1 climbed up on the chair. He started to help me, and then he told me he peed. Sure enough, I look, and he had peed all over the chair and onto our new floor. URGH!! So I quickly grabbed an old towel to dry the floor up, and as I was bent down drying up the floor, I thought "where in this situation is there anything to rejoice about?" And the Lord immediately put the thought in my mind, "Be happy he wasn't pointed in the direction of the newly washed tablecloth." And that is SO true. In every situation there really is something to rejoice about. We might not immediately see it, which is okay. We need to just trust in the Lord. Phil. 4:4 says, "Rejoice in the Lord ALWAYS, and again I say rejoice." It doesn't say rejoice in the Lord sometimes, it says ALWAYS. I need to continually keep that in mind, and make sure I am tuned in to hear His promptings.

Your story is hilarious! ANd it is true! It didn't get the tablecloth! At first that is what I thought I would be reading next, lol :o) SO YAY!!

It is amazing how the Lord works these impressions into our hearts, even at the worst moments of time!

For one reason or another this week has been difficult for me, just alot more whiney and needy and I kind of started feeling sorry for myself because hubby is not home every day. but then I decided to see the blessings in it rather than getting all down about it...

I have longer than the average housewife to prepare for his homecoming!! YAY! lol ;o)

Off to prepare my home for Sabbath and my husband's coming and enjoy our praise music. Have a good one and continue on rejoicing!!!

Hugs!
