Feeling Guilty?

While at church last week my beloved accidentally invited a couple and their daughter over for lunch after church tomorrow. How can he invite them over accidentally, you ask? lol The couple had been having marital problems, and praise the Lord, they are working on it. My beloved was happy to see them at church and said, I hope to see you next week. And she said, oh, we'll be there. She meant our house. lol But not a problem. Even though we had no plans to invite them over for this Sabbath, apparently the Lord did. ;0) I don't believe in coincidences. Anyway, my point of this post is, my beloved is working from home today and he said, "oh, I will help you clean up and cook for tomorrow, etc. Am I the only one? When I see my beloved loading the dishwasher or picking up toys, etc., I feel guilty. I feel like I didn't do my job properly. I have told him this before, and he says I shouldn't feel this way, that we are a team, and that he's here to help me. So am I a fool for feeling this way?
I must say, I do appreciate his help. ;0)

I wouldn't feel guilty Shereen. As long as you're doing the best you can then that is enough! Besides it sounds as if your husband is happy with you and as long as God and your husband are happy with you then you must be doing o.k. (o:

Sounds like a problem I'd like to have. My hubby's favorite line is that men don't belong in the kitchen...

Don't feel guilty. You are a great mom and wife!

I just had to tell you that your kids are sooo cute. Anyway, you have a sweet man. Mine helps out so much, even after a hard days work, so I know about the guilt.

Oh, no, don't feel guilty! It's great to have help! I am so appreciative of the help my husband gives me. We're expecting company tomorrow too, and he has done the dishes and even worked on laundry tonight. It's a blessing to have his help!

Shereen,

I can definitely relate to your feelings! Many times I find myself racing with the clock to get the dishes done before my hubby comes in the door from work because he just loves to help at home. He admits he likes doing the dishes. He quotes the bible verse, "... as a man wipeth a dish" 2 King 21:13 Consider yourself blessed to have a hubby willing to help at home. I too have been blessed abundantly!!!

Wife to my precious hubby, John
mom of 3 blessings, JJ (9), Josh (7) and Nina (14 mos)

P.S. Maybe our husbands should get together some time? LOL
