Okay, you are probably going to think I have completely lost it. As my beloved will tell you, I love gadgets. I think the ones I buy though are pretty useful. This is my flip fold. It helps fold your laundry really quick, and really neat. Here are some pictures that explain it a little better. It's supposed to help with towels and pants, etc., but we hang up our pants, and the towels are easy to begin with. Using the flipfold to fold the shirts makes the dresser drawer a lot neater, and you actually have a lot more space. I know you can probably fold your shirts like this without the flip fold, but it's so much faster. Since my children help me fold the laundry, no matter who is folding, it always comes out the same. Maybe I'm still traumatized because my mom would dump the contents of my drawer out to be redone if things weren't folded correctly when I was younger. lol ;0)
These are my shirts before I flip fold them.

These are my shirts after flip fold. ;0)

Hey that's pretty neat. Sadly I think it would take me longer to use that then fold them the traditional way. :0{
Still pretty neat to see.
I've seen this and think it looks pretty cool...but haven't tried one yet. I just might have to, now!
I LOVE my Flip and Fold! I am an as-seen-on-tv freak but I bought this one because me and my hubby don't fold things the same (ie. they don't go in the drawers nicely). I will definately use it with my kids so they can help with little effort.
that would be great for my son! he is always wanting to help fold - but he is four! and well, his folding is more of a crumpling. and i could use some help too...

We had to use a cardboard cutout when I worked retail. All the shirts had to be folded exactly the same. After a while I got so I could fold them that way without the cardboard..and it's stuck with me. The flip and fold is a great idea...especially with little ones helping. I think it's really neat!
So neat!
Tori, when my mom came to visit me, she really liked it as well, so I gave her mine, but I don't think she uses it much. She stuck to her way of doing it, even though they look exactly the same at the end. lol
Mom2fur, I thought it looked cool too, that's why I bought it, and I haven't been disappointed since.
Roaming Southerner, glad to see someone else is a gadget queen, lol It does make the job easier, especially when not everyone in the family folds the same.
Janice, that's what I really like about it, the fact that even when the children do it, it looks the same as when I do it.
Lisa, that's so funny. That's what I'm hoping, that the children get so used to doing it, that they will still fold it find without the flipfold.
Thank you, Mrs. B
Hi! Just coming over to say that my lunchboxes arrived today. The kids are thrilled! We can't wait to use them. THANK YOU SO MUCH!
I'm glad you posted about this. I've seen it advertised but had never heard about anyone's "real life" experience with it. Thanks!
I worked retail like Lisa in the teen years. At the Gap we had a folding board, a little bigger than a clip board, that we folded the shirts around and then slipped the board out. like Lisa, it stuck and I can do it w/o...although now I roll everything to make more room in the drawer.
My heart hurt for you when you spoke of your Mom's reaction to imperfection. I know those things stick with us. Don't want to make more of it than it is, but I also want you to know I didn't skip over it lightly. I am grateful for God's grace.
Umm 'Skandar, I'm so happy your lunch boxes came in. lol YAY!! I can't wait to see some pictures whenever you get a chance. ;0)
Katrina, yes, I've had mine for about 4 years now, and you can get really fast with it. lol I can do a whole stack of shirts pretty fast.
Roberta, that's so funny. That's great that it stood with you. Oh, don't worry about making it more than what it was. To tell you the truth that was nothing compared to other memories of my childhood. God's mercy, grace, and helping us to forgive are something else, my sister. ;0)
