Here is a plain basket, which you can buy at Walmart, Michael's, etc. I

I just decorated it with some little flowers, etc. You can decorate it with whatever you'd like, or leave it plain.
Right now I have my Bible, my box of index cards(I will explain about this in another post), my colored pencils, my concordance(not pictured, Kayla borrowed it), paper, and any book that I might be reading along with my Bible. You can make your basket as simple or as fancy as you'd like.
This is the other side of the basket. I'm not sure which one looks nicer. ;0)
I used to have one a long time ago, but it got destroyed with all the moving we did. So in preparation for starting school/therapy on Monday, I made one up again. When my beloved saw it, he asked me what it was for. I explained to him, and he remembered the old one I had. He asked me, "can I put my things in there as well?" lol It kind of surprised me. I immediately started thinking of ways to make him a manly basket. But then the Lord brought to my mind that my beloved asked me to share it with him, not make him one. And to tell you the truth I feel honored that my beloved would care to share something so simple as a basket with me. ;0)
p.s. In another post, I will explain what I am doing for my personal worship, and what the colored pencils and index cards are for.

Good idea! Thanks for sharing!
I have a WFMW up with an idea on how to preserve your child's school and/or art work.
Great Idea! It would make a great gift exchange.
My WFMW is up as well.
I have a fix for your template to center the main section. I've emailed it to you as a text file.
And very cute basket. I like that.
This is a really nice idea. I can also see putting my daily readings in there. Looking forward to hearing how you use the cards and pencils.
Thank you so much for sharing this wonderful idea.
'Berta
I like that idea!
You did a great job with it.
It's very pretty!
How sweet that hubby asked to share!
And way to go with resisting making him his own instead.
By the way, I really like your loose leaf KJV Bible. That has been on my list of wants for a while now. And I love the book "Keeping Our Children's Hearts". We have that, too.
I, too, have different highlighters/pencils that I use for different things and I try to code my Bible passages when I come across them. I don't keep index cards, but I do keep my quiet time notebook.
Thanks for sharing the basket idea. I'll have to keep it in mind when I'm ready to do a craft.
And glad to hear your evening with Ernesto wasn't so bad. *Ü*

Thanks for all the comments on the worship basket, I'm happy you liked it. If anyone decided to make one up, please let us know, I would love to see it. I never thought about it as a gift exchange. That would be a nice idea.
Christina, you made me laugh for a few reasons. I really did have to RESIST to make him one. lol That is the perfect word to describe it.
Yes, I have a hard time marking my Bible, so I figured maybe with this one, it wouldn't bother me too much. As far as Keeping Your Children's Heart, I really really really like that book. I read it once, and I'm going to read it again. I think the first read was just to read it, now I want to start applying more of it.
Your last comment scared me, and then made me laugh. I've never seen my name coupled together with evening, and another man's name that wasn't my beloved's. lol ;0)
LOL! I'm trying to control my laughter as I write this.
I went to say that I was glad your evening with Hurricane Ernesto wasn't so bad, but I remembered (or at least thought I heard) that he had been demoted to a tropical storm, so I didn't want to label him wrong... so I just wrote Ernesto, not exactly paying attention to how it sounded. Oops! LOL... Sorry for the scare. *Ü*
Oh, by the way, I saw how you renamed your 'post a comment' to 'Penny for your thoughts'. I was wondering... what if someone decides they want to collect?? *Ü* lol
On a more serious note... I really liked "Keeping Our Children's Hearts", too, and I, too, plan to read it again in the very near future. I was hoping to read it with darling hubby but work has been tying him up quite a bit lately and we already have to make extra effort to get up early enough to read our Bible together... so I'll go ahead and read it again and we'll read it together another time. *Ü*

I know I already posted comments on this post, but I wanted to respond to some comments you made on my posts. *Ü*
About the pool, I just wanted to mention that the particular one we went to was on the local military base here. It's nice and secluded. And it's on the water (a river). It was a beautiful view!
Also, thank you for the bit of info on the cardinals. We were only able to read very little about them today, but hope to learn more tomorrow. We read what you had mentioned in one of the books we read before bed. We thought it was so sweet how the male will feed the female.
And, thank you for the comment about the new book I just received. I've heard some controversy over it, too, but, as with all things, I intend to read with discernment. And, as you said, it's possible to pick out what you can use. And, as always, make sure it lines up with God's Word. I look forward to learning a few things and, in the least, being reminded, challenged, and encouraged of my mission and role as a wife.
Thanks for all the comments. *Ü*

What a neat idea! Whenever I sit down to spend time with God it always takes me so long to gather up everything I need/want, making a basket (or some such container) like that is just what I need. Thanks for sharing!
Christina, thanks for the comments. I hope you enjoy the book, and are able to find more information out about the cardinals. The male gets to be such a beautiful red. Since we lived up north, he would stand out SO much up against the snow.
Hi Laneycakes, hope all with school is going well. I'm happy you were able to get some sort of idea to have all your worship materials in one place. ;0)
Christina, you really, literally made me laugh out loud with that one, to the point that my beloved said what are you laughing at. ;0)
I know, those pennies will add up, huh? lol I was trying to think of something good, but I couldn't, so I turned to my beloved. So I give him credit for that one.
That's funny, I read it once, and then my beloved was going to read it, but then I think I gave him another book. I think I overloaded him. lol I was wanting to read Homeschooling with a meek and quiet spirit again, before Monday. I'm not sure if you'd read that one. I think it's a great book for every homeschooling mom.
I love it! Great way to keep everything organized so you can just grab everything together everyday. I want one now! Will have to make one! And, very sweet that your beloved wanted to share it with you.
I have read "Homeschooling with a Meek and Quiet Spirit". I have actually purchased it for others. I think it is a wonderful read for homeschoolers. As a matter of fact, I hope to do a Bible study with it one day. *Ü*
Well, I'm off to do something besides be on the computer. I'll comment more later.
Hope you have a wonderful day!

Keeping Our Children's Hearts & Homeschooling with a Meek and Quiet Spirit are both excellent books. I love the Maxwell's.
Your basket is lovely, and your husband's response a treasure. My husband appreciates thoughtful touches that make the home special as well.
I LOVE that idea Shereen! Just to let you know I WILL be copying that idea from you, LOL...I am just waiting on a new Personal Reference Bible that I ordered. I can't wait to do up one of those. I think I'll do one for my girls too! Thanks for posting that - super idea!!!
Nadine
I love this idea. I made my worship basket last night.
