Anyway, I have mentioned before that I struggle with cravings of sweets. A friend(who is doctor) told me that it might be a lack of calcium, due to breastfeeding 7 1/2 years, and being pregnant 3 years, for a total of 10 1/2 years out of the last 12 years. Hmmmm..... that might be a possibility, huh? Anyway, I have been trying to get more calcium in through sesame seeds, almonds, etc. I found a decent treat when those cravings come on, and I figured I would share.
It calls for a few types of nuts; pecans, almonds and walnuts.

I mixed it up with some unsweetened coconut, carob powder, honey, etc.

Then I got my little helpers to mix it up for me.
I know this must be breaking food codes of some sort. Yes, he is sitting up on the kitchen ledge. Well...how else would he get a good look at what I was doing. lol ;0)
I pat it down in a casserole-type dish. I put sesame seeds on half of it.

I really didn't stage this picture. Elijah was next to me as I snapped the picture. When I went to see how the picture came out, this is what I saw. The temptation was too much.
If anyone wants the recipe, let me know.

Mmmm... I'd love the recipe! =( on the carpel tunnel...
Oh Shereen, so sorry about the Carpel Tunnel. Glad to have you back!
I'd love the recipe too! It looks so yummy! I'm sorry you've been in so much pain. I've had problems lately with sciatic pain, so I understand how much those nerve problems can really hurt! I hope the patches help you :)
Meg
The recipe would be great. I thought I had carpal tunnel syndrome because I was having the same symptoms as you are. The Dr wanted to do surgery, but I was not ready. I went to the chiropractor and mentioned the problem I was having. He adjusted my wrist and I have had no problems since. I know I will probably not be lucky and have it help permanently, but I will try it again when the pain comes back. It's helped for several years now.
Oh Yummy, I could defenatly use that recipe. I have been graving sweets I have either been pregnant or nursing the last nine years, currently still nursing.
I had the same symptoms with my wrist several years back. Dr Agatha Thrash suggests to cut an empty toilet paper roll to fit over your wrist with a hole cut for your thumb like a cast. You can tape it or elastic bandage it. Wear it at night to immobilize the wrist. (that was the hard part for me)
I wore mine for about a week to 10 days at night, and ... no more pain!
BioFreeze works *super* to erase pain. I got mine from the chiro. $10. for a 4 oz tube.
Just thought I would share.
Blessings, Melissa
